Is anyone else so tired of the rain?

I don't know about anyone else, but I am having a really hard time with the constant rain.  Not only that but I am 7 days till surgery, and now have a cold.  Finding it very hard to stay on high protein, good food, when all I want is comfort food right now.

I am tired of this rain too.  We live in a flood zone, so excess rain is NOT a good hting!

I got a cold a week before surgery and was miserable, so I know just how you're feeling.  Hnag in there though!!  It will be worth it in the long run (at least, that is what *I* keep telling myself!)  LOL!

I'm sorry to hear that you have a cold.  Summer colds are the worse!

I'm sick of the rain too.  We've been on vacation last week and this week.  This week, I wanted to spend some time out in the garden, but that's not happening.  One good thing that has come of it is that my husband decided to paint the spare room because he couldn't really do anything else due to the weather!

I'm very into soup right now - chicken & veggie, beef stew, etc.  Course, I'm almost 5 months out, I couldn't have done that stuff right off.  And it's not as high in protein as I'd like.  So if I do really good with protein at breakfast and lunch, then I get soup for dinner.  Plus I found these awsome Stacker 2 protein waters that have 20 grams of protein.  They have a weird taste, but not terrible.  They kinda taste like pop rocks.  So if I do soup and don't get enough protein that meal, I can make sure to have a protein water later in the day.

My old standby for rainy, cold weather was pasta.  Those days are long gone.  But last night I found a new favorite food that I CAN eat - a quesadilla they make at a resturant in Portsmouth, NH with tons of cheese, black beans, and vegetarian sausage.  AMAZING!  Not only was it wonderful, but it served as two meals.  So, how cool is that?

Post-surgery you have to walk, walk, walk as I'm sure you know.  Man, I hope this rain gets done soon or it's really kinda gonna suck.  I thought Karma-wise after that awful winter we were due for a break.  But no, super snowy winter followed by a cold and rainy summer.  We better than a spectacular fall and I'm gonna start to get really sick of it. We're DUE, right?  :-)

Lord, give me stregth and when I lack it, patience.

i made those at home, i'll have to give that combo a whirl. they do make wraps that are higher in protein than the normal oes too. i don't eat those really very much. i make um for the family but i end up most of the time eating something very high in rpotein
