my port area is warm to touch and numb, is this normal just after surgery?

Mine isn't like that, but that isn't to say that what you're feeling isn't normal!  Did you ask on the lapband board?  You'll get a ton of informed responses there!

Just my two cents.

Numb is normal.  I have had four other abdominal surgeries and I am still numb 7 years later in one place.  Remember they cut everything---nerves included.

Warm----I would keep an eye on.  Could be sign of infection.  Are you running a fever?  Is it sore?  Have you had a post-op appointment?
