Would you rather be rich or famous? Why?

Rich..... I wouldn't care about fame if I had money!

Rich but not too rich. I would not want having money to change me or the way people see me. I would never want to be famous. You give up too much to be famous.

I definitely don't want to be famous.  Rich?  Maybe just enough to pay the bills and take a nice vacation or two each year.  I wouldn't need/want much more than that.  I have a wonderful life the way it is now, and I'd be afraid that if I had too much money, then maybe it would take away from all the other great stuff I have -- like my family and my health.  Sounds kind of weird, but I'm a big believer in balance.  If you have too much of one thing, it skews other things trying to maintain that balance. 

I would much rather be rich than famous!  Being famous brings way too much attention, and not in a good way.  I would not want to be hounded the way that famous people are.

But I think kmvanlet explained it nicely!  I am very happy where I am in life right now, so while I wouldn't mind having some extra money to make life (and traveling) a little easier, I don't think I'd want TOO much and mess up an already good thing.  :)

Rich.  Famous people have no privacy.

Never fame for all of the excellent reasons already expressed and a few of my own.  Rich?  Everything is relative, I think.  Compared with 99.5 % of the world and some big percentage of other Americans - I am rich!  Filthy rich.  And in the things that matter to my heart, I am rich beyond my wildest dreams.
