I'm back!

Sorry for the several-day absence, everyone.  At first, I was too drugged up to really communicate effectively, then yesterday I had a girlfriend spend the whole day with me.

I had a little more pain than I was expecting, and it seems like the Tylenol is actually working better for me than the prescription stuff that I came home with.  I'm stronger each day and still not hungry.  I'm getting better at getting in all that I need to in the day.

I'm actually going to see my MIL tonight, so I'm trying to find clothes that FEEL like pajamas but don't LOOK like pajamas.

Thanks for all of your support and HELLO to all the newbies that have joined up!  Talk to you all soon.

WELCOME HOME!!  Glad to hear all went went and that the pain is subsiding.   You are on your way to a whole new life!   The hunger will return - believe me!!  LOL  but most times is just your head still thinking like it used to that it needs to eat.. I just drink some water, or find something else to distract me.

Good luck with the MIL  LOL  (actually i still get along with my former MIL)

Although I no longer live in NH, i still feel like this board is "home"

I'm so glad you're back!  I was actually starting to get a little worried.  I wish Raa would check in too!

I wish I had tried liquid tylenol.  It didn't even dawn on me to try something else.  LOL!  The liquid percocet did nothing for me.

My home scale is already reading 8 pounds less than the hospital scale!  I'm sure that there's a several pound discrepancy, but I'll take it!

It may be accurate.  Here's how my first week went:

surgery: 266
thur- 267
fri - 264
sat - 259
sun - 255
mon - 254
tue - 254

My scale is a pound off from nancy's, but still, I lost either 11 or 12 pounds the week after surgery!

Now we just need to remind ourselves that NORMAL weight loss with the band is 1-2 pounds per week on average!
