Newbie!!
My wife has been bugging me to finally join this board. Her username is Cindita. I'm sure you have seen her posts.
Well, just to get everyone up to speed. I started the program the same time she did. However after she got banded I started losing weight like I had never been able to before. So, I talked myself into thinking I can do it on my own and this time would be different. That lasted about 5 months. Well, I started the program all over again. Went to all the info meetings and had tests repeated.
Met with Dr. Gould last week and was given a date of Sept 15th as long as everything with insurance goes ok. Well, got home to find a letter from my insurance company agreeing with me that I'M FAT and need help.
So it looks like Sept 15th is the big day.
I look forward to getting to know all of you better and becoming a loser. Like my wife...........

We're surgery buddies cuz my surgery is Sept 16th! And what a role model and coach you have in Cindy-she's remarkable. I, too, was sort of appalled to find my doctors and insurance company didn't fight me aout this surgery. I'm still half hoping someone will finally put a stop to this madness. Just kidding. No, the weight is a real problem and it has to go. And it has to saty gone - and there is the rub, eh? I hope you'll find support in this community. I do and I also just plain ole have fun here. Hey Craig, welcome to the beginning of a new life (a thinner one!)!! I remember being there that first meeting you and Cindy attended, and shocking you by saying you knew Adam LOL
Cindy has done a fantastic job, and I know that she will be a good support for you as you proceed thru this journey.
Should you guys ever want to escape NH for a day to come to the big city (of Worcester), let me know!
