What was the best thing about your weekend?

My weekend is not even over yet, and I've had such a good time already.  Last night, we were at the Red Sox v. Yankees game, and my daughter got us field passes, so we could be right on the field while they took batting practice.  I met Johnny Pesky and got his autograph, and we were literally 10 feet away from Big Papi, Varitek, Lowell, Johnny Damon, Derek Jeter, etc.  Then today, we came to visit my Mom on the lake.  My daughter and I took the kayak out to Elly Point to see the damage from the tornado that hit here.  The damage was incredible to see - so sad.  Plus, it was my first-ever time in a kayak.  That was 3 hours ago, and my arms are already stiffening up.  I'm not going to be able to move tomorrow!

We drove up to Sabago Lake in Maine and just sat in the boat and enjoyed the sunshine and nice breeze and then pigged out.  Tomorrow is just a lazy day for us. 

I started vaction this weekend which is always so nice. I spent yesterday by the pool with my family. On Friday my daughter told us she is 8 weeks pregnant with our second grandchild!! Nathaniel is going to be a big brother. Today Bill and I are heading to Foxwoods for a couple of days. We are going to Mystic on Tuesday. I love Mystic Seaport.

Goodwill Shopping!  I spent an hour there and found 2 bags of clothes in smaller sizes.  I had a hard time believing they would ever fit but I take it on faith.  Bringing them home and caring for them really made me feel that my WLS is truly going to happen.  Nice feeling. 

Me and my sons went camping.  I LOVE sitting by the campfire.

Funny moment at the pool.  I sat there in my 'fat girl' swim dress attire---feeling very fat---and I thought to myself, "This is probably the last time I will be in public in a swim DRESS"......

I can't wait for surgery!

We finally finished painting our huge arse living room!  Something we've been putting off for 6 months!

Spending time with good friends out on the lake, thankful that we had no damage from the tornado.  Just soaked up the sun, had a few drinks, then played mexican dominos that night in front of the fire.
