Approval - sort of

So I got my letter today from anthem BCBS (YAY!), however it says I am approved for lap gastric banding... Um, that's not RNY I don't think.

I wonder if I need to go through the process again?

I wonder if it is a sign saying thats what I should do?

I would give them a ringy-dingy-ding....

Wohoo Jenn, that's great.  And BTW - same thing happened to me.  My paperwork said lap band.  I called the office and asked for it to be corrected. They said it was fine that way but I'm going to contact my insurance anyway and request a new document that says the right procedure.  I'm pretty picky that way - it matters to me.

I would get it straightened out just to be on the safe side.  You don't want to go through RNY only to have the insurance company come back and deny the expense.
