I'm home!

I am just shocked---I have never heard it being done on an outpatient basis.....

I thought the lapband was always done that way! It's such a simple surgery, technically speaking.

Holy cow!  The time stamp on my system says that you posted at 9:21 - I thought they booted you out the door in 2 hours!

Thanks everybody. Your support means a lot to me! I am already starting to feel better than I did this afternoon. I think I might even try to go to the mall tomorrow to walk (since the weather doesn't look like it will cooperate for an outdoor walk!)

When I saw Dr. P. today, I mentioned the fact that I thought she had booted you out the door after surgery because of the time stamp on here.  I told her you were doing well the last we "talked" and she laughed that I know what's going on more than her.  I'm liking her more each time we talk. 

Now, the phlebotomists (yes, 2 of them) who had to stick me over and over to get blood - not my favorite people right now.  They were so terribly apologetic, though, that I couldn't be angry with either of them.  My veins just didn't want to cooperate at all.

Hope you're still feeling good.  Heading out now to get the rest of my post-surgical necessities...

I have to say, the worst part of the surgery was getting the IV. I have veins that are difficult to find to begin with, but being dehydrated just made things worse!

We went to the mall today to walk, and I think I may have overdone it a bit. Still, i feels better to be up and moving around than to be doing nothing!
