No weight loss surgery...instead...

Last week I had my physical with my PCP. I was hoping that I would get the OK to move ahead with WLS. Well we did the exam, all looked good, did my labs, etc.

Doctor asks when was my last men cycle. I say, I don't know a few weeks ago. As a routine for the labs, a preg test was ordered.

I am pregnant! (9 weeks). We are very happy about this, but it was not expected. I am still trying to let it sink in.

We have a 7 year old boy (soon to be 8). This was very unexpected, but it explains why I have been so tired. I just started working 2nd shift, so I am not sure what is going to happen. We are very happy about this, but it turns everything upside down!

New babies always turn things upside down, but nonetheless, that's wonderful news for you and your family.

I got pregnant my first go round with WLS!!!  They put me on metformin for being insulin resistant/PCOS and no one told me that many times that increases your fertility---and bingo!  Little Dominic is 3.5 yrs old now and I am going to have surgery next month!

We are very excited! I am disappointed that WLS will have to be postponed, but I can't think of a better reason to put it off!!
