When to go back to work

Was wondering...After RNY surgery (assuming laproscopic), how long will it take to get back to work at an office job?  Is 2 weeks a reasonable expectation?

I don't think 2 weeks is enough. I thought I would be back in 2 weeks but actually took 3. And that was tough. I was so tired. It was exhausting being back so quickly. If you can I would say take 4 weeks. This is my third week back and I finally feel better. I'm in bed at 8 but at least I'm still functioning at 5. Good luck.

Two weeks is definitely not long enough.  I have a desk job, and I took 5 weeks off.  I had enough time accumulated, which was a factor in taking that last week, but I'm glad I took it.  I probably could have gone back after 4 weeks, but I was still getting tired easily.  Halfway through the 5th week, I suddenly started feeling a lot better, so I think I made the right decision.  If you have the time, I say take it!
