Meeting Dr. Paciulli tomorrow - help!

Hi folks,     So glad to hear all went well, Neener.   I'm BCBS (State Employee) and I'm waiting.  I realized last night I don't know for sure that I've been put in for approval.  LOL.  I had my appt and I left and I haven't heard a word.  I'll call today.    I'm thinking about staying in Porstmouth the night before my surgery if I have an early time slot.  It's 2+ hours of driving and I know you have to shower and so on.  I think I'd rather not get up at 3 am.    I think it is great, Neener,  that you have the option to stay overnight and the doc's support.  I've had a few surgeries and I was twice rushed right out the door.  Not pleasant if you aren't feeling up to going!  So good for you.  Take care - Treading

Neener, that is wonderful!  I am glad you had a great appointment and hope it is making you even more excited!  Do you have any steps left in the program? Funny, a lot of us have BCBS insurance! BEST OF LUCK to you Neener and everyone else.

Hmm...I'm beginning to wonder if maybe there's an ulterior motive to asking me to plan to spend the night - maybe since I have such a high BMI?  Maybe because I've never had any kind of surgery except my wisdom teeth out?  Not sure...

OH!  Funny story to share with you.  I got home today and peeked at the caller ID on the phone and saw that Blue Cross MA called today.  WHAT?!?  ALREADY?!?  AWESOME!!!!  It didn't occur to me at first that they wouldn't have called me; they would have called Dr. P's office.  It was just a coincidence that they called to tell me about some new program that they have.  I didn't even listen to the details of the message.  I hung up in disgust.  They should not play with my emotions like that!

Hi:  I'm kym and I had my surgery Sept 07. (with Dr.Looser) I have BC/BS Federal and they approved quickly but since paying for almost all of the surgical cost they waffled on the x-ray with yucky drink stuff you have after gastric by-pass to make sure every thing is sewed up right.  Why they don't want to pay that I don't have any clue but I'm appealing.  Also they only pay so many visits to Atlantic before and after, so we'll see. Good luck on your surgery. I don't have any regrets:)
