What happens during the second pre-op appointment with the surgeon at PRH?

When I went, I had to put a johnny on, just took my top and bra off..  He cheked things over, and then just talked to me.  Made sure I didn't have any questions or anything like that. Good luck!

Same thing with Dr. L so I bet it's going to be that way for you too. He talked a lot and he is a man of few words:).  You're getting closer!!

Michelle, I am not there yet, so I am not sure what happens. Just wanted to say good luck!

It was basically a quick check up... to finalize any last minute questions/concerns.  And to make sure you know what to do before surgery etc.  :)

Thanks everybody.

Dr. P had already done her exam at my first appointment. The nurse had me put on a johnny, but since Dr., P. had already done the exam before, she didn't need to look at anything again, so it was sort of silly. My husband was able to go and meet her though, which was good.

And now I just have to wait a few weeks. Luckily I am really busy for the next three weeks so I won't have a lot of down time to get worked up.

Wow!  Just a few weeks and you'll be on your way!  Wow!  I'm very excited for you.  Have you got all the gear and stuff you need?  Broth?  Blender?  LOL.  Treading

I have broth, plenty of sugar free jello and pudding, CIB, and some other protein drinks for later on, four of those bottles (the blender ball bottles) for the protein drinks, my food processor, blender, and magic bullet. I've arranged for childcare, and my husband took that week off to stay home with me. My friends are preparing meals for my family after surgery so I don't have to worry about it (although my husband would be absolutely fine on his own- he's pretty good at using a can opener for soup and stew! ) I took the list from the NUt and went to wal mart to get everything- chewable vitamins and viactiv (i couldn't find the chewable catrate or whatever it was.)

I also bought crystal light and fruit-2-o, and sugar free popsicles.

I think I'm all set!
