Wondering about blood work
Dr. Gens said they do it at 6months, I think again at 12 months, and then once a year with them for the next four years (it's a five year program). BUT when you finish the 5 year program you should STILL have it done once a year, forever, with your primary care pysician, usually when you get your annual check up.
If your numbers aren't "good" then you'll get a recheck a little sooner, to make sure your new vitamen regiment is pulling the levels up.
And you'll need to take the basic vitamens - calcium and the multivit - for the rest of your life.
Hope that helps!

I had blood work done at 1 week out!!! BUT that was for my Er visit at 6 days outs.
Of course in the 6 days the labs came back fine.
I am going thru the "my gosh , am I tired phase' I swear I could sleep round the clock this past week. I drink 2 protein drinks and am on soft foods.............3 weeks out tomorrow.
Can`t say I am really happy about my decision just yet, but atleast I am not suicidal like the 1st week , if you missed my 1 week out posts. I had reaction to my liquid pain meds. Ended in ER on day 6 hallucinating and close to suicidal, plus retaining fluids , my BP there was 200 /110. Was the closest to a near death experience I ever want to have . Altho, I was in no danger of dying my mind thought I was.
I should and will update my blog and put all this down for others.
I have been missing you!!! I wondered how you were doing. I remember being super tierd for awhile. That will pass, but give it some time. It gets so much better.
I've started running again and I'm feeling pretty good. Tierd today, though! My hubbie and I went out to lunch at Margaritas and while I'm still amazed at how little I eat, the shrimp fajita was really good. I skipped the shells and ate just the shrimp and a little veggie. But I was able to go to a normal resutrant and order a regular meal and enjoy it. I didn't have room for much, but that means tons of leftovers and I really enjoyed what I did eat. So hang in there. At almost three months out I don't feel "normal" but I do feel "good". :-)
