6/8 QOTD- Favorite toy as a kid?
Well, the toy that stands out as my favorite would have to be my "Chatty Cathy." I remember that I got it for Christmas the year my brother was born. He was born on Christmas Day. My Mom was in labor on Christmas Eve, but she wouldn't let me Dad take her to the hospital until I opened my Chatty Cathy (so I've been told). I loved that doll. I don't know whatever happened to it, but years later, after I had a heart attack (which scared my Mom to the nth degree), she bought me a new Chatty Cathy, which I keep in my home office on my desk.
The toy I always wanted, but never had: Easy Bake Oven

You had to ask! By gad, I was in love with the game 'Operation'. I have always been very medically inclined - in the abstract. Actual blood and guts are not my favorite. But I loved playing that game. I drove my family nuts with it. I was very fond of 'Trouble' as well.
I wanted a real cash register but I never got one. I did get a typewriter that I pretended was a cash register. I would empty the kitchen cabinets and ring each item up giving the space bar a solid thumping each and every time. LOL. What fun it was and my Mom was a peach for letting me do it while she was trying to prepare meals for a huge family. Funny. Treading
Dawn Dolls, does anyone remember these? I had the sports car and the fashion show thingie and wow were those clothes ever hard to get on the dolls. But, they are still a beloved memory to me.
