Are you moving this weekend?

I tried to beat the heat, sun and humidity by walking for an hour this morning. But I didn't beat anything - the sun definitely beat me by giving me a nice red sunburn!

I'm up to 305 minutes for my 1000 minute goal.

I haven't been doing a good job exercising at all. I don't know what my problem is.

This morning I spread mulch for an hour or so, which was a good workout. (My muscles are sore now, so I assume it was good exercise! LOL!)

Tomorrow I think I am going to take my son and the stroller up to the school complex and walk on the new walking path that was finished this year. I might even try to incorporate that into our daily routine this summer. Might as well take advantage of the fact that he wakes up at the crack of dawn, and get out for exercise before it gets too hot.

Hubby and I went in to Boston with a packed (healthy!) lunch and walked around the Aboretum http://arboretum.harvard.edu/ - which might not have been the best choice in the 92° - I'm pretty sure that I would have been drier if I had jumped in the pond.  However - the near 20# that I've taken off in prep for surgery allowed me to get the whole way to the top of the spirally hill.  I was winded, but not much more than my husband.  I was pretty proud of myself.  We plan to go back in the fall when a) we remember a blanket to picnic with, b) the leaves are changing and c) isn't not hotter than hades.

That looks like a neat place to visit! Thanks for the link. I bookmarked the site and will add it to our list of things to do. (Unless gas prices keep going up, in which case we'll only go places we can WALK to!) LOL!
