Hi, Wow this must be something new. I had my surgery 16 months ago and didn't go home with shots. I had Dr. Gens. I was in 6 days due to having to have 2 surgerys and was allowed to take a shower a day after my second surgery. It felt good. I also had to do a bowel prep day before surgery. It wasn't really bad. I just gulped it down and followed it with cold gatorade. It is worth all the prep. Good Luck, Roxanne
