Insurance for pre-op testing followup
Hi all,
I talked to Nancy today and asked what Treadingh20 had asked about last week and she referred me to Gail. I asked Gail if I would need a referral and she said no (at least for Anthem BC). Additionally, I noticed on my lab witeups the 'reason' for testing the thing listed was my co-morbidities. So I really see no reason to get the PCP involved since no referrals are needed for it.
HTH.
Hi Jenn,
Sorry but I didn't follow you. You spoke with Gail? From Atlantic Surgical? But who actually ordered your pre-op testing? My PCP has ordered all of my testing. In fact I have my upper gi and chest xray tomroow morning. I just don't know how any one does this in a few months? I've been in process since January and despite having taken it slowly I have 7 medical apts set for June alone! That's just crazy. Once I get done with those I'll still have several more to go. I'd have to take a leave of absence to finish this program any sooner than September!!!!!!
I'll just bet you did! No kidding, I've been reading on these boards about folks feeling they have to tell people about their WLS so people don't worry they have cancer when the weight falls off. Well, I can tell you my co-workers are already sure I have some dreadful disease just because of the doc apts so I can't wait to see what happens when I lose weight! It's so funny but it sort of isn't, either. Treading
