Lost at Parkland...

My guess is that Nancy will be busy tomorrow, so I thought I'd check here...where are the Pre-op support group meetings held?  Are they in the Nutfield building like the Info meetings, or are they in the actual Hospital building?  What about the behavioral mod classes?  My husband is hoping to get there from work in time to meet me for the the behavioral mod classes and I'd like to let him know where to go.

As a side note, I love that he's invited to attend everything with me.  We weren't sure, but he came to Dr. Wagner with me (psych) fully prepared to sit and read a book if he couldn't come in with me.  Dr. Wagner made a point of inviting him to come to any and all classes with me before surgery.  He said that only the post-op support groups were for patients only.  I love that family is so encouraged to be involved, especially since they are going to be going through all of this with us.

Hey Neener,  First I have to agree with you that these bariatric programs have got it right - this is a family adventure!  Glad to know you're DH is coming.  OK as to location, yes, the preo-op support group meeting and the behav mod classes are held in the hospital building itself and in the same room.  The room is off of the main corridor and nearby to the rest rooms.  You go past the front desk and you'll see a series of rooms off the hallway along your left-hand side.  They kind of go backwards so you don't notice em until you're on top of them.  If you get to the elevator you've gone too far LOL - turn around and your looking for a room marked as a classroom.  As I say, look for the rest rooms and you'll see it.  Have a nice day and I'll see you there - Treading

Obviously you found your way there. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say hi tonight!

I agree that it is nice the way families are invited. It makes sense though, since their lives are going to change a little bit through the process. ****ep wondering just how much of an effect my surgery will have on the other people in my life.)

It's really funny - it took me a little while to figure out who was who.  It's really nice to meet people in "real life".  I guess I'll see you in a few weeks!
