I feel pretty lame next to you ladies - I'm at 465 of 750.  I need to get my butt in gear...

I'm up to 320.  Actually, I think it's higher than that, but I haven't been keeping track.  Still-- it's just barely halfway to my goal, so I need to step it up a little this week!

I have been a busy bee lately.  I have 940 minutes in so far.  And I've started training to run a 5K!  I  may not be ready in time for the race this time around, but I'm going to try.  Yet, with all that exercising, I haven't really lost any weight for a couple of weeks.  It's so frustrating!

Which 5K are you thinking about running?  I've printed out the entry form for Londonderry's old home day race, but I haven't gotten up the nerve to fill it out and mail it in!  The race is in august, so I figure it's a great goal to work toward over the next few months.

The one I'm looking at is in Hollis, The "Hollis Apple Country Fast 5K."  It's on June 5th, which is why I'm not sure I can do it.  I think that's awfully soon, as I've never run before.  The other day, I got on the treadmill and was only able to run about 5 minutes of the 30 that I was on it.  Well, you gotta start somwhere I guess.  Anyway, this race is billed as the fastest 5K because it's all downhill.  I think you can access info at: www.coolrunning.com/major/07/applecountryfast5k/ I may be interested in the Londonderry one.  August seems more do-able for me than June does.

http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml This is the training plan I am using-  it trains you to go from a couch potato to running a 5k.  I know I might not be able to run the entire thing, or even half, but I'm okay with that.  My goal is to finish, and then to improve on my time for the next time!

Thanks for the info!  I've printed it and will probably follow it.  It look pretty straightforward, and reading it as I sit here at my desk, it looks pretty easy!
