PMC/PRH - Do they just spin the Wheel of Surgeons?

My application is in the mail, so I'm really on the yellow-brick road now!

A question occurred to me today, but rather than bothering Nancy (I know she's got many important things to do) I thought I'd ask here...The program has 3 surgeons.  Do we, as patients, choose which surgeon we want to work with, or do they somehow "load level" the cases as they come up?  Does it depend on which surgery you're having?

I "met" Dr. Gens at the meeting the other night (he was kind of funny when the question about pregnancy after surgery came up and he had to explain that many people are more frisky & fertile afterwards!) and I think I would like him, and if I was asked to choose I would probably pick him just because I've at least seen him interacting with a group.  However, the whole program seems pretty solid and would probably be happy with any of them.  My question is more just to satisfy my curiosity.

I don't really know how they assign the surgeons!  If I remember, I will ask at the support group on Monday.

Nancy usually asks you if you have a preference.  If not then she will just assign you a dr.  They are all fantastic :)

Hi Janine,     I'm just a bit ahead of you in the program.  Just as Teresa says, I was asked by Nancy if I had a preference.  Dr. Wagner also asked me during my psych eval.  Isn't it great to be given the choice?  Good luck, Treading
