So I think I decided on RNY
UNtil I started talking to DH about it... He 'can't help but feel there is another way [besides surgery]'.
UGH!
And of course, he likes the lap band 'better' than the RNY because it's so permanent. Even though I gave him 100 different compelling and heartfelt reasons why I think this would give me a good lease on life, he's not convinced. He says he'll support me no matter what I do, but.... But what? You won't like it?
He's also afraid of change - this could be part of it.
I am cautious, but not scared. Almost 3 years ago I had a total knee replacement at 27. I had some complications from the spinal, but I am 'okay'. I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia - both of which leaves me in pain exercising and just LIVING.
I need help - I need a tool to just give me a little help. I don't see why he can't see past rearranging my insides to actually a better ME.
Sigh....
I agree, hubby needs some time. But YOU need to be the one to decide which surgery is best for you, no matter who thinks what. Good luck in your search for the answer that is FOR YOU.
