Okay, most of you were quiet this week!!! Where are you??? We want to hear from you!  Are you near your goal?  Don't feel that if you didn't make your goal this month that you have failed or anything!!!  If you've even TRIED to reach your goal, you are a success!!! So let's hear your minutes everyone! Also, post here if you would like to take part in April's challenge.  I am pledging again to 1500 for April. I am currently at 1407 minutes for March...  Still have some work to do to get to my 1500!

I haven't been keeping track of my minutes, but I am very very proud of myself for the intensity of the workouts that Iv'e done.  I used to just walk (okay, a leisurely stroll) is more like it, but I've been doing intervals on the treadmill this month, and actually breaking a sweat!! Next month I will do a better job of keeping track of the minutes.

I am officially totally off track.  Sorry.  I will try to back on track in the future but I am guessing that next month will be officially also crappy.  On the other hand, I am five days post-surgery so ANY minutes moving HAS to be good, right?  Monday I walked the dog four miles, today I think I can walk up a couple of mailboxes and back to my house.  Frusterating, but I know it's just gonna take time.  I do have two half flights of wide, safe and carpeted stairs and I go up and down those a fair amount.  Today I haven't managed an out of house walk because hubbie isn't home right now and just in case I think it would be smart to have someone around when I try my first out of home steps.  I have walked a few circles inside, though.   I did check out your DVD recommendations, and they look REALLY fun.   I am thinking post surgery recovery (6-8 weeks out) I'd like to get some.  My fitness level pre-surgery was pretty good, I walk about a 15min. mile.  But post surgery I am sure it will be a slow start.  Any recommendation on which DVD to start with?

Lord, give me stregth and when I lack it, patience.

Hey Umber - I would start with either "Walk Kick" which is kind of similar to kick boxing, or I would start with "4 mile super challenge", and start by doing the first mile or two of it.  Leslie lets you know at the end of each mile so if you only want to do one, you do one and then skip to the stretching!  Also keep it fairly low impact when you begin.  Good luck and let me know what you think of these!!!

Well, so far this month, I have 1,253 minutes + 5 hours shopping, which I'm not counting in my total (although, if I did, I'd make the goal!)   Anyway, there's still today and tomorrow.  I can confidently say that I won't hit 1500, but that's okay.  Had I not spent an entire week lying around on a beach in Mexico, I might have made it, but I won't trade that week for anything  :)  I actually misunderstood and thought we were shooting for 1000 minutes this month anyway.  It doesn't matter.  I exercised as much as I could no matter what the goal was.   And yes, I'd like to take the challenge to exercise for 1,500 minutes in April.

Hey Kim!!!!!!!!! No, you are correct the challenge was to exercise 1000 or more if you wanted.  I put my goal at 1500...    It's awesome that you did so many minutes AND laid on a beach for a week!!! YOU RULE!!!!!

Hi - I wasn't able to do it for March, but sign me up for April!  On Tuesday we start a runner's training group with Runner's Alley.  I'm training for a 10K and Bobbi's training for a 5K.  We run 2 days a week with the group and do more running or other activity the other days, so hopefully I can meet the goal!  Thanks for organizing this!
