Sounds about right.  Prior to surgery I started taking (2) Multi's and (2) Viactive a day.  I am Post op and my B12 was low so I also take that and a prescription VIT D that the surgeon prescribed cus I was very very low.  I don't take a ton of supplements like some others do.  Right now taking them is more like a meal than anything else.   You should be on the right track though! Good luck

Oooooooooooooooh, so do you have a date yet?  Or a ballpark?   I just got home and was told to take a chewable multi-vit with iron, and a chewable calcium citrate, and one of those acid reducing OTC.  My prescribed meds are one that is a preventative for blood-clots (I had RNY, I don't know if Lap Band-ers have that one) and of course, a decent painkiller. I got the Bariatric Advantage calcium suppliment and I HATE it.  I am totally switching to those viactiv ones.  The ones I got are worse than chalk.  Also the Bariatric Advantage ones for the mutl-vit have no iron so you have to take the multi-vit seperate of the iron suppliment.  I am trying them all today but if they are as bad as the calcium suppliment I guess I'll just have to throw all this out and get me some flinstones.  *sigh*  Just goes to show, sometimes when you spend top dollar, sometimes your just the sucker.

Lord, give me stregth and when I lack it, patience.

I also had RNY with Dr. Gens.  He is totally awsome.  I could not imagine a better, more caring and compassionate doctor.   I  am in pain, as I assume is normal for four days out.  Or perhaps five days out.  Do you count the day of surgery as a day?  My painkillers are working just fine, though, and all I really NEED to get me through the day is Adult Liquid Tylentol.  So I am in enough pain that I couldn't do it with no meds, but the Tylenol is usually enough for me.  Every day is an improvement.  For me the first day after surgery was the hardest, the day of surgery I don't remember much of.  Every day after got easier.  It's still tough, I won't lie, but it's better.   I mean, hey, I'm on the dang computer instead of spending the whole day in bed!  ;-) Everyone will tell you - sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, rest, rest, rest.  I'm not yet at the point where it seems to be making a difference but I heard that it's the best way to quick start recovery and that after a couple weeks it will pay off.  So today I walked, sipped, and rested.  Now I am sipping, then walking, and more resting.  At least it's easy to remember!  ;-)

Lord, give me stregth and when I lack it, patience.
