Hi All of you who are going for the exercise challenge this month! It's time to check in!  How have you been doing?  Are you going to make your goal without a problem, or do you need to step it up?  Either way all of us are so proud of you going for this goal! In addition to the amount of minutes you have for the month, I would like everyone to share how they are getting their minutes in, in case others need some ideas! I am checking in on week 3 with 922 minutes.  To get my minutes I do a combination of Curves, which is 30 minutes each time I go, plus my Leslie Sansone DVDs.  Leslie's workouts are based on walking, and you do things like side steps, knee lifts and kicks along with walking.  you can make them low impact or high impact, so I think they are good for everyone... Plus if you feel you can't do 3 or 4 miles, Leslie tells you when you're at the end of each mile, so you can always start with 1 or 2 and then stretch!  I hope some of you will try these!!! The Leslie Sansone DVDs I do on a regular basis are: 4 mile Super Challenge (my favorite) - 57 minutes 4 Fast Miles -50 minutes Fast & Firm - 4 Really Big Miles - 59 minutes 3 Mile Weight Loss Walk - 47 minutes Walk Strong - 30 minutes I highly recommend all of these DVDs, and you can also check out her website at www.walkathome.com

Good morning, I have 645 minutes logged through last night.  I should get in another 105 minutes tonight.  At least, that's the plan so far.  I did the math, and based on what I usually do for a workout, I think I'll come up short by 55 minutes.  That's not so much that I can't try and step it up to hit 1000 minutes by the end of the month.  I'm in a weight loss challenge on the health board also, so the extra exercise will only help me with that too! So what kind of exercise do I do?  I go to the gym after work every day and sometimes on Saturdays.  I do at least 30 minutes of cardio (usually the bike or elliptical).  At least twice a week, I add in about an hour of weight training.  The gym where I belong also has a circuit (weights and cardio combined), which takes 30 minutes to complete.  I will do that if I'm short on time. What keeps me going?  I bring my clothes with me to work and change there.  I never go home first because then I wouldn't end up at the gym at all.  I'm also very lucky in that my husband cooks dinner every night so I don't have to deal with that chore after a long day. Happy Easter to you all!

I'm late in posting this - just getting over an illness.  Well, I just barely made it once again - 112 minutes for the week ending 3/21.  But I'm feeling better now and I'll go ahead and post for this week at 195 minutes so far.  Take good care - Treading
