How long to be contacted once you send your app in?

Hey all, I was just curious what the average time is to get a phone call for an appt (PRH) after you send in your application?  I went to the Feb info session and sent my application in a week after that and haven't heard a word yet.  I am sure an appt is way out, but I don't even know if they received the application. Also, can you go in and get weighed NOW before you have a 1st appt to start losing your 10% or do I have to wait until I get contacted?  My doc sent a referral in a couple months ago, I was hoping that would help.  Guess not. Thanks, Jenn

Hi Jenn.  You can call and check in with Nancy to see if they got your packet.  It usually takes a couple weeks to get your call.  My packet got stuck to somebody elses (and I sent it in the day after my seminar!)  Nancy went looking for it and found it & scheduled me.  Yes you can also ask at that time if you can stop in and weigh in so you can get started on your 10% loss.  The referral doesn't help until Nancy gives you the okay to proceed to the surgeon, just the program's protocol.  My original one actually expired and had to be put in again when it was time.  My initial apt with Nancy was in mid Oct, saw the surgeon for the first time in Mid Dec.  Nancy will run you through all the prep stuff so you are ready to see the surgeon :)  Best wishes as you begin your journey!

I would definitely call Nancy.  I sent my app in beginning of December, and had my first appointment with Nancy Feb 11.  I am hopefully going to meet with the surgeon in about 2-3 weeks.  I have to have one more test done, and then call Nancy back. Good luck Jenn!  Welcome aboard! Crystal

Thanks, all.  Well, when I got home last night I got a letter saying my insurance covered it and to expect a call from Nancy soon.  I am going to go see her tomorrow and get weighed in so I can start losing my 10%.  Anyone know if I should call her first or just show up?  I also have blood work to get done at the same place tomorrow too - 2 birds with one stone! Yay! Jenn

Definitely a good idea to call and make an appointment if she's available.  A lot happens at the 1st appointment and she may need time to get ready.  You may not be able to see her because she has other appointments, is meeting with folks who just had surgery, is in on a surgery, etc.  Welcome aboard!
