Happy Surgiversary to me! (x post)

Becky & Bobbi... Thank you!  It most certainly is an amazing journey!  I'm so greatful to have this life changing tool!  Hopefully I'll see you two at group next mtg.  I'm supposed to be moving "soon" hopefully in March sometime.  But I'll still be hanging around the NH board since I have friends here and know the PRH program :)  I'm going to miss everybody at group so much!!! Oh I wanted to ask... how long did Bobbi take off of work after her band surgery?  My mom was looking into it in Ohio.  I told her bandsters are usually discharged day of surgery or next day if there are no complications & they are tolerating liquids.  My mom was concerned about how much time off she might need.  I told her I'd ask since she's still in the research phase and doesn't have a surgeon yet.  I told her I assumed it was the same as the RNY'ers... most I know took off around 6 weeks.  Just curious!  Thanks!  Hopefully see you at the mtg! Congratulations Terrisa!!!  I just came to this board to find patients of PRH, and you had my surgeon too.  I am an ex banded person, actually I was Dr. Looser's 1st and hopefully only patient to lose their band.  after 2 slips and the motility of my esophagus slowing down, it had to go.  I am looking into RNY as I have gone from 195 to 255 and I can't get a grip on my eating.  Congratulations again, I LOVE Dr. Looser and plan to see him in my near future.

Hi Deb!  Thank you!  There are a lot of the PRH patients on this forum... which is why I come here too.  The Maine forum is usually from other programs.  I love dr L and their group.  Sorry you had problems with your band.  I love my RNY.  I wish you the best with your RNY journey!!  It really is a fantastic tool.  let us know how things progress!
