WLS Gathering in Boston - Anyone?

Hello My Fellow NHites,     It looks like DH and I will be going to the Boston gathering.  I know I'll be meeting other bariatric folks at the PRH support groups and during my pre-op apts.  But I think a social gathering with a party atmosphere will really be educational.  I'm not a drinker and we are not 'partiers' (LOL) by any means.  But I feel it would be very good to see post-ops eating and dancing and well, having a good time out on the town.  I think it will help DH to see that our social life wouldn't necessarily die on the operating table!  It wouldn't hurt for me to see how post-ops eat in restaurants, either.  Sort of proof that it can be done would reassure.      And the support and sense of community is something I would really treasure.  Anyone else going to be there?  Treading

I don't know anything about it!!!    I've often thought perhaps all of us should get together and meet in person!

Hey Cindy,     It's put together by the Friends of WLS.  Not that that means anything to me, really.  But I saw the post and got in touch with the sender and I'm going to go.  She sent me a registration form and a cost breakdown and all.  It looks like a nice relaxing time with WLSers and their support people-ought to be fun.  Treading

We wanted to go to that, but we're going to NYC for the weekend to celebrate Bobbi turning 50!  Hope it's fun!!
