VSG
Hello,
I don't know if ther's a surgeon who would do it but I'm fairly sure none of the bariatric programs offer it (Dartmouth-Hitch**** CMC, or Portsmouth Regional). Have you used the search tool here on this site? Also, you could search on the ASBS site www.asbs cuz they alow searched by surgery type. Others here may know differently but that's my research... Good luck Treading
Thanks, I had a Lap Band at BayState in 2006 and had to have it removed in dec 07, The roux-en-y is not an option or the VG banding my body doesn't like the artificial pouches, and my BMI isn't high enough for a DS (37, the band does work) so my only other option is the VSG or gain all the weight back that I've already lost. :-(
At the moment I live in Bethel Alaska but am relocating back to NE sometime in Feb.
thanks
Welcome Home!
That's a dang shame about the band having to be removed. I'm leaning towards a RNY instead of the band even though I really like the idea of the band. Anyway, the ASBS ought to be able to help you and, again, I hope you find what you're looking for. Depending on where you locate, the Boston area may not be so bad and your surgeon choices would go up a whole lot! Treading
