I GOT MY DATE, I GOT MY DATE, I GOT MY DATE!!!!!

I cannot believe i got my date. I am sitting here at work ready to scream it out to the next person who walks by my cube because i got my date. It seem like this day would never come. I have been working on this all year and its about time that it happens. Have Faith Diane is what my sisters kept saying. This is the best week ever- i have had so manny blessings that its hard to count them all this week. Now i am going to be the biggest loser- how great that sounds!!! I will have to put one of those tickers like most of you have on your emails to show progress. I still can't believe it- would somebody pinch me please!!!

Congrats!  I was so excited AND nervous when I got my date.  What is your date?  I think you were so excited you forgot to tell us!

Oh yea, December 6th at 9:30am. I have no idea what i'm suppose to do now. I have my nutrition appointment on November 6th so i am sure Monica will tell me. I have my pre op scheduled and my post op scheduled, and i am going to climb Loon Mountain next May is my goal without crying. LOL I hope i don't have issues with the insurance but i shouldn't it does say medically necessary. WooHoo

Hi - Mine was Dec 6th last year - it's a good date! 

I have some questions; Do you go home the same day or do you stay in the hospital overnight? How long were you out of work? I am hoping to only take 3 days out 4 at the most, but my surgery is scheduled for a Thursday so i am thinking i will be back at work the following Tuesday. I am so excited. I just read someones journal who did this surgery a couple years ago and when it was surgery time they said that her insurance doesn't cover implants and she would have to has the full gastric bypass. But in the end she did have the lapband do you think they still do that? Change the operation at the end, litterally an hour before? I can't imagine them doing this or when they submit to the insurance agency them saying no right at the end. I know with my insurance they said they cover it if its medically necessary, so hopefully they do like they say. I actually kept my insurance when i got laid off so paying $400 a month for cobra they better pay for it. I am employed full time now but i just got a part time job so i can keep paying the insurance plus i got the insurance at my new job so my daughter could have insurance but the new one doesn't pay for anything, so i will have to keep the cobra for a while until i know more about the fills. Still i feel like i am dreaming because i got a date and its sooner than i thought it would be!!!

Hi - Are you having the Lap Band?  I had the RNY and was out for 5 weeks which was just right for me.  My partner had Lap Band in March and was out of work for 2 weeks.  Did you get a book from your program - that gave me some guidance about it.  I've never heard of them switching types of surgery at the last minute.

I am having the Lap Band, my sister had the other one, but because she is having so many problems and she was much hevier than i helped in my decision to have the lapband. I did not receive any book. Maybe that next week when i go to see nutritionist. Maybe she'll give me something than. I am so excited. There's alot of information online and i think i might put my steps into a journal so others like me can know step by step of what to exspect. I asked for 3 days off paid cuz i thought since its on a Thursday it would really give me 5 days. Hopefully thats enough time. Sweet!!!
