Referrel to see Nutrionist?

I have Harvard Pilgrim and since I am already on here I thought I would ask if anyone knows if you need to get a referrel to see a dietition/nutriontist? I was thinking you do but I really don't know. Anyone else know?

I had Anthem Matthew Thornton, and no referral was required for the nutritionist, as she was considered part of the bariatric program at Dartmouth-Hitch****  You can probably check on Harvard Pilgrim's website to see if a referral is necessary (I will be switching to H-P as of January 1st because my company is dropping Anthem :-(  )  Good luck in this wonderful journey!

Hi,         I have Harvard Pilgrim and I had to get a refferal for the nutrionist. Who is doing your surgery. I went to Portsmouth and the Phsycologist was not in program so  had to pay out of my pocket. I had noproblem with approval for the surgery. They approved right away.
