Hello everyone! After a long road of trying to loss and going through the preop circus I am finally going in June 5th at 12:30, I am starting to freak out a little as my surgeon requires I only have clear liquids today and now I'm thinking can I do this can I give up at the evils, that in a sense I enjoy? I know that the ultimate answer is yes but...... This is many years of bad eating habits here. Pizza, chinese, beer, ice cream vs weight loss living longer being active.  I know that I am making the right decision but if there are anywords of wisdom I am listening!  Thanks Jo Anne In NH

Hi Joanne!  Glad to hear everything is well with you  so far!  I hope you will continue to write about how your recovery is going.  I go July 9th for my band, so I'm not too far behind you!

July 9th that will bve in know time, I actually feel good today a little sleepy but it's kinda weird not focusing on what to have for lunch, breakfast dinner snacks.....I have lots of bad habits to break but I think that this is just what I needed. Are you having lap or rny? thanks for your thoughts, JoAnne

Hi Joanne,

CONGRATS! welcome to the losers bench!!  I hope your recovery remains uneventful and that you feel better each and every day.  I had RNY 5 weeks ago and am feeling great, in fact have returned to work full time.  Just think, by this time next summer we could all be out shopping for bikini's  (HA HA)

Keep us updated on your progress and feel free to come here with any questions you may have.  You may also want to check out the Lap Band Forum to hear from others who have had the same procedure.

Best wishes,

Tammy

Thanks Tammy I am glad that your doing well, I had so post nausea problems, thats was scarey, but finally after several medications it went away I have to  wear a scopolmin patch for two more days, I also had to cruch vicodin and eat it because I had a reaction to the percocet elixer. But today only 24 hrs out I feel good sore but good. Oh also my youngest daughter had also told me that we could have to go bikins shopping! Thanks for writing,  JoAnne
