So since the whole medicaid thing Sue told the lady who sets up the surgeries to take me out at the end of yesterday. So now I have a date of Feb26th. She told me that they filled my spot with a women who needs emergency surgery and is on meds to get her through till Monday. Im trying to think of the other women but please if its that much of an emergency then why are they waiting till Monday.....oh man nothing is easy.....
I have been following your long saga and the whole thing SUCKS. I live in NH but am having my surgery in Boston. I would call "Sue" and demand that she bump someone else having evective surgery on Tuesday or Wednesday. She must know that weight loss surgery is a long and emotional process and having to now wait 3 more weeks is inhuman, not to mention all the arrangements you have made. Push a little--sometime it works. Hang in there !!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Carolyn,
I as well have been following your roller coaster emotional ride. It does suck! However, look at the bright side. You have your approval and a date. So hun, just sit back and before you know it, you'll be on the losers bench! Take this time to prepare and get things ready for when you come home. Get all your housework caught up, laundry and all that jazz.....Like I said your day is just around the corner.
Best of Luck to you!

I was also one of these women who needed emergency surgery. I had my surgery on a Wednesday, was released on Friday was transported back to CMC from Plymouth,NH. I had to wait until Monday for my second surgery. I was on insulin to regulate diabetes antibiotics for infection, and numerous of other things I don't want to mention, I don't want to scare people. They had to wait for some of my panels to be normal before they could operate again. Don't be discourgage. Some times life just throws us obstacles, you will overcome.
I am now 14 months out and went from preop of 318 to current of 142. I am 7 lbs away from my goal.
