APPROVED

Well after many many phone calls and getting very upset over this I called the Ombudsman's office for Medicaid up in Concord. SHe was more than willing to help me...very nice and understood what I was saying. Thank you Emily....your wonderful!!!! So she emailed the supervisor over at the preapproval office and I jsut got the call from a sec...the commissioner wanted me to call you and let you know your surgery has been approved....we are faxing this over to the hospital and doctors office. The best phone call I have gotten in awhile. Wow such an emotional rollar coaster. So Im trying to get ahold of someone that can give me some info over at Dr. Gould office to make sure they didnt take my date away from me. Of course Sue is off today. Thank all of you for you support....man its so important....

Wow Carolyn this has been a tough week for you. I am SOOOO glad you were able to get the approval! I wish you the best of luck on Monday with your surgery. I will be meeting with Sue that afternoon, and hopefully soon thereafter with Dr. Gould.

Thank you Tammy. When I spoke to Sue yesterday she told me they were going to start booking people 45 days after they see Dr. Gould....after all this I really think there program could have major changes....why even give a surgery date if they dont have an approval? Good luck to you....will you be at the next meeting?

I guess its good news about the 45 days, and i pray that Anthem is quick in my approval. I have contacted Anthem and they have said it would be approved (just have to hope they dont drag their feet!) I will be at the next meeting. I am meeting with Sue on Monday, so hopefully will know more then.
