New to the forum
Hi, I've been on OH for a while now but I have not really been to the forums. I thought it might be a good idea to get to know some local people going through the same thing as me, I notice it really does help. I have been through Dr. Campbell's program and have done all they asked and I will be meeting her on the 22nd of this month. I am praying that I am at pre-op weight goal before I see her, I have about 6 lbs. to go, that means I'll be starving myself for the next week and a half. The holidays killed me. So, if anyone has some advice or anything they'd like to share, my ears are open! God bless!

Hey Rebecca
I myself just started the WLS journey and have choosen CMC with Dr. Campbell. I haven't met her as of yet. However, I have heard she is nice BUT...very straight forward, which I imagine is a good thing. I just went this month to the seminar and first support meeting, this past monday.
May I ask how long this journey has taken you?
My name is Stacey by the way and I live in nashua
I started in October. I went to the orientation October 2nd. So I guess from that time until I meet the surgeon on the 22nd it will be a little less than 4 months. They say it takes 4 to 6 weeks after you meet the surgeon to have the surgery. The time really does fly by! Also, it's really up to you how fast you go through it. I probably would have been even faster if I stuck more close to my diet. If you schedule all your appointments a soon as possible and lose the required weight, you should be all set. I could not make it to the support group meeting this month but I wanted to go. Usually, I'm not big on support group type things but I'm finding that the more I am open and talk to people, the more accountability I have and it's just nice to know people who can completely understand what it's like to live life overweight. Ok, I'm writing a novel now, I'd better stop. I live in Manchester less than 2 miles from CMC. I work in Nashua though at BAE Systems. Anyway, hope your journey is successful, hopefully we can talk later! Take care!
