One more week
Good for you. So have you lost your 10% yet. I am half way there. I have started the support?behavior mod meetings but wont be done with those until middle of january because of the holidays. I am also waiting for the coordinator to call me back about scheduling all of my testing for bloodwork, ultra sound etc. It seems everthing takes weeks to accomplish. I have heard that once you meet the surgeon it goes pretty quickly. I am happy for you. Let us all know how it goes. Good Luck!
Thanks! In the program with the Dartmouth Hitch**** in Manchester they only ask you to lose 10lbs. You have to lose that before they will even get you in to see the nutri or the surgeons nurse...so I lost that back in Sept and since then have lost 8lbs more. Going to another meeting this afternoon so will see what the scale says today. This is such a long road that sometimes it seems we will never get to the end of it....keep going though cause youll never get there if you dont....Have a great Holiday!
Carolyn,
I wish you the best of luck for your visit and get the news you've been longing to hear. I myself have just made it to step one. Discussing it with my PCP. I have already been seeing a nutrionist for the past 3 months. This is all new to me, and I'm not sure as to what roads lie ahead or how long this whole process takes. Anyone out there willing to lend some advice it would be greatly appreciated. Where can I look to find support meetings or even how to get into one? Again I wish you the best of luck on your road to a new life, and a healthier you..
Stacey
If you are looking for support meetings, I believe there are ones every Tuesday or every other Tuesday across the street from CMC in Manchester - Nashua probably has some too. Call the clinic and ask - they are informative even if you don't add anything to them. I started the lap band process in April and had surgery in June. I am at 6 months today and have lost 47 pounds as of last week. I WILL reach my goal of 50 by Christmas - it is the best thing I have done for myself. I don't know what surgery you are questioning but I can talk about the lapband anyway. Any questions, let me know.
