Hi all , One of the main reasons I am doing this is to feel better. MY father died young from this. I wanted to know feedback on how people do with the banding. I just need more control. cmc recommended the banding. I am at 39 bmi. thx Minnie

Hi, I am sorry your father died at such a young age. I too had type 2 diabetes and since I had wls 10 1/2 months ago my test show that there is NO sign of diabetes. You will feel so much better once you start taking the weight off, I know I did. I sleep much better and I have enough energy to keep up with my 3 year old grandson! Good luck take care Linda

Hi Lisa I had lapband in June and am doing great. One of the best decisions I made. My BMI was 40 which I had to gain 2 pounds so the insurance would pay as I had no other issues. I am, in my opinion, doing great. I have lost almost 50 pounds and should be there by Christmas. I have had no complications and wouldn't even know I had this surgery except that I eat such small amounts of food. I have actually lost interest in most foods, its just not important anymore (which is great!) I do get hungry once in a while and eat becuase I have to, not because I want to. I have had 3 fills so far, the first one I felt some restriction so I am one of the luckier ones. Good Luck on your journey - it feels so good to be losing weight. Summer is coming!
