Question for Park/Ports People

I just had my psych eval with Wagner the other day. I know I have to attend his support groups at least 3 times before surgery but the dates are so far apart. Its not like I can bang out the sessions in three weeks it ends up being more like 2 months. Does anyone know if they will give me a surgery date expecting me to have completed the last of the required support groups hand, or will they hold off on giving me a surgery date until I have actually completed them all. I was hoping for a date at the end of January, but I won't be able to get the third and final support group in until the 18th of January. Anyone know what they might expect? I will have all my other requirements met.

hi....there were patients in dr.wagners group with me who had thier surgery after only completing two or three groups,they just have you finish after your surgery.they will not holf off on giving you a surgery date as far as i know.dr.wagners group is excellent by the way,i dont know what i would have done without it seriously.good luck.call nancy and tell her your concerns,shes really great.jennifer.

Hello Sara I got my date for my surgery it is Dec 29th. I have preop tomorrow. What do they do at Pre Op. I am having the Lapband. I am so afraid of not staying at the weight I have to be. I enjoyed Dr. Wagners group sessions. Got to know a few of the people too which was nice. I would love to hear from you.
