I have been kind of just waiting around for a few months. My program has been done since Spring but I did not want to do the RNY and decided I wanted to do the Lap Band. I SHOULD have called CMC and went with Dr Campbell's program but now I feel like I am so close to getting it "over with" I hate to start ALL over with a new program. Personally, I am just tired of waiting. Anyone else in this boat? Were you at this month's meeting? I was kind of taken back when she said the beginning of next year for surgery when I was told October!! I mean I am ready to GO! Ug..I am on the fence about what to do. Stay with this or go thru all the testing again. I was told that CMC would make me do the testing again if I went thru the program..not to mention there is a waiting list just to go to the meetings.

Hi Wendy, I am actually trying to learn more about the lap band. I have not been able to find any groups in New Hampshire or even who I should call. Could you please give me some information on how I can get started and where there may be an informational meeting in New Hampshire? Thanks, Caroline

Hi ! I am new to OH, and I am looking into surgery at Manchester DHMC and also at CMC. Both my husband and I are going to the upcoming meetings to see which program we like. I would be very interested to hear what your thoughts are about DHMC. I know it must be disappointing that it is taking so long... that would definately be a huge draw for me - whichever program could get me in quicker... cuz, I am also eager to get going!!!!!!!!!

I know only about portsmouth regional hospital and I know they are faster and have a great support group before and after the surgery that you choose. I did the lap band and love it I have lost 64 pounds since May 28th 2006 without exercising because of knee problems. The doctors are great and the program with three surgeons seems quicker and if you could have your records sent over maybe they could help instead of waiting. They have support groups every second Monday of the month from 530 to 630 for anyone of the surgeries then lap band from 630 to 730 I go to both. Then they have information meetings where someone from the lap band speaks and answers questions from their experience then someone from the RNY does the same it is a great program. Nancy sessman runs it and the number is 436=0600 good luck

Hi, Which hospital r u in? i started with cmc. I think if u have the tests done they can transfer. I would try cmc. but, i get discourage on how long it takes to answer. I guess Melanie the nurse left. They are looking to replace her. The other thing is. They have a new director. The only thing on the banding with them... is they just started doing it last year... i think. is Manchester Dartmouth Hitch**** (the Elliot). Who is your dr. thx Lisa
