Hi - I'm also doing the Ports. Hosp program. I've completed my psych, nutrition and physical therapy appts and have been attending monthly groups. Last week I had my 1st appt. with Dr. Pacuilli and she's wonderful. So now we're working on insurance approval and I have a few more pounds to lose. Be in touch if you have questions, etc and maybe we'll meet soon!

Hello and thanks so much for answering my post. I guess we might meet some time I am so anxious to get this show on the road before the holidays I am really hoping for. because that is a tough time to stay motivated. I wanted to have Dr. Paculli in the beginning and I didn't really say that. and they kind of picked one for me. I really don't care who does the surgery as long as they do it and that they are good. I have had chosen for me Dr. Lussier. I said that was fine. Don't really know any of them . I am in New Durham maybe I told you , sorry is I did , I tend to repeat myself. Where are you located. Was wondering how many times did you have to go to the Dietician and to see Nancy S. I have had to go several times and had to go to Physical Therapy a number of times also.. Please wirte when you can I will be anxiously awaiting your reply.thanks again DOnna

Hi - I live in Portsmouth. I had a friend who had Dr. Paculli and was very sucessful. She said she was great through the whole process. I went to the dietician twice and the physical therapy twice, I've met with Nancy 3 times. I know the minimum for dietician and p.t. is twice. Thanks

Hello Donna, I am also from New Durham, I wrote to you awhile back, I dont know if you remember me? I ended up having the surgery, RNY it will be a year on dec 8th I have lost about 135 pounds now. It has slowed waaaaaaaaaaay down. I still have a good 20-30 more pounds to go. I had dr Pacuilli. At portsmouth. I really liked her alot. I however did not have a good exp at ports hosp. That is a entire other story. I used to go to the meetings but some scheduling conflicts I am unable to go at this time. I hope you have a good experience with everything. If you would like to know anything else, feel free to write. Take care, Jane

I'm new here, but I am also seeking to have lap-band surgery at Portsmouth Hospital. I work in Hampton, but I live in Peterborough. This is scary stuff for me, I'm still letting things settle in. I'll be attending their November 14th seminar.

I am in the process of trying to have RNY at Portsmouth. I went to the Sept seminar and had my intake apt with the coordinator last week. I have my psych eval, nutritionist apt, and phys therapy set up for the next week and a half. Then back to nancy. I was at the Sept support group meeting and will be going on Monday as well.

Hi, I went to a seminar on Oct 12 at Pinkerton in Derry. I just submitted my application about 10 days ago and am anxious to know how quickly this process usually moves. I know the surgery would be in Portsmouth and the pre-op in Derry. I called the office to see if there was anything I could be doing on my end but they said I would have to wait to be notified. How long out are they scheduling these things? I am really excited and anxious. I have been thinking about and researching RNY for awhile and am ****d up to just get in there and start the beginning of my new life! Any feedback on the process at Portsmouth and with Atlantic Surgical would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Heidi
