Hello, Some of you may know, I am new, and my PCP doesn't really believe in Lap Band surgery. I am off to find a new PCP, and was wondering if anyone here on the NH board, in the Seacoast area, had good suggestions and positive experiences they could share with me. Thanks in advance Liz

Hi Liz, I was just banded on 06-07-06 at the Faulkner Hospital, sister hospital of Brigham & Womens. My PCP is out on medical leave so I see her associate Dr. MacDuffie at Portsmouth Family Practice over to the Pease Tradeport. They are great and she had no problem giving me a referral to Brigham even though they have a program at Portsmouth Hospital. I told her I wanted a very experienced doctor which I had with Dr. David Lautz. She totally agreed with me. Hope this helps you out! Valerie

Hey Liz - My Husband and I have Dr Nicholas at Beacon Internal Med. We LOVE her. . . . She is totaly supportive of the WLS though she was not the Dr that we had when we went through the surgeries... HTH ~ Gurtie B
