UGH!!
Ok so the worst part of this surgery isnt waiting for it.... It is the head hungers after.... I am still on full liquids and going insaine Everything that I have to drink seems to be sweet. I have applesauce for breakfast choclate protein shake in between meals. choclate sugar free pudding for lunch another choclate protein shake and then maybe some tomato soup for dinner. I am going insaine! I jsut want regular food. I am about 10 days out from surgery and i am down 24.5 lbs so i am doing ok but if anyone has anything they want to suggest in the full liquid stage i would appreciate it..
Thanks
Jay
Try getting away from the chocolate for a while. Sounds like you are on chocolate overload. Try vanilla sf pudding or even pistachio if you don't mind the green color. The chocolate protein drinks tend to be really sickening after a while. Try adding some ice and blending it with a tiny bit of carb countdown peanut butter for a change. What about chicken broth? Season it with different things like garlic and onions and oregano depending on your tastes. Hang in there, you only have a few days left of full liquids, don't you? It will get a little easier with each day.
I have until June 1st on Full liquids. Amazing I never thought I woudl be looking foward to puree as much as i am scary hahaha... thanks for the tips on that i will give it a try... Hey is tomato sauce a puree or full liquid? I have been in the mood for some and wanst sure if i could spin some in the blender and which category it woudl fall into..... Not that it would be a meal but just curious\.....
talk to you later
That's a good question. I would think that tomato sauce would be a puree...not really something you would drink through a straw. Unless you are really desperate. I'm sure a few spoonfulls wouldn't hurt since you are eating tomato soup, but you have to be careful about how much sugar it has in it. June is right around the corner, you'll make it. Once you are on purees you can start getting a little more creative. I was able to go straight to soft solids, so I don't know how much I can help with that stage, but I'm thinking that your blender will become your best friend during that time. Keep up the good work. It will be worth it in the end.
