Hello eloc29,.
How nice to find a lapband group meeting in Kearney. I am going to be moving to the Kearney area at the end of the month. Right now I live near Detroit MI. Cant wait to meet some new friends. I'm won't be there this month but should be settled in and looking forward to the August meeting.

I had a similar problem with my job. I was going to try to work it out to where I would have to take less time off if I got my surgery done during shutdown. So, after the dates not coinciding for a year I got fed up with waiting so long feeling miserable and took FMLA. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was, your HR people should have the forms that need to be completed, they just send them off to your surgeon's office and your employer will approve the LOA once the surgeon's office completes and returns the paperwork, legally your employer can't refuse you this right.

Hi Mona,
My insurance won't pay for my lap banding, but I am still wanting to have it done. I will have to go to my bank and take out a loan, as I don't have the money up front to do it other wise. I had to change my Aug. date, as I couldn't get off from work, so I will be seeing Dr.Forney in Sept. I feel kind of sad that I couldn't get the Aug. date, as I want to get started ASAP.

I am going back to dr. Hung's office but I won't be there until October, he wouldn't accept medicaid patients? That suprises me. I don't know any other surgeons in Lincoln but him and dr. taduchi in the same office.

Right after I left you I went to do some shopping at HyVee and there is a Starbucks in there. I went up to ask them if they were going to get the protein drinks and TaDa.. They had samples out of them. There was a Chocolate banana, one.. I didnt love it, just tasted like a protein drink with banana in it, like we could do at home, They make with 2% milk unless you ask for skim. 15 grams protein and 170 calories.. The other one was something fruity, mango something I think. I really liked it and it was 16 grams protein and 150 calories. The calorie count would be lower of course if we asked for them with skim milk. If I remember correctly they will cost about $2.79.
