I moved from Houston to Omaha in 2002.  Are you going to have Anthone do your surgery?  Have you spoken with his office staff about insurance?  It took me 9 months to get approval through Midlands Choice.  It feels like you have to jump thru hoops set on fire before the insurance company will approve.  You would think the surgery would be considered a preventive measure against the comorbidities that come with obesity.  Oh well, if there are any questions I can answer don't hesitate to ask.

Are you living in Omaha and are a texas transplant or are you now living in texas?  We moved up here from Houston.  I'm hoping to have my DS around Sept/Oct- I have to wait for Methodist to be recognized as a Center of Distinction by Blue Cross Blue Sheild.  I'm sure I will have so many questions as it get close to surgery!! Thanks texasgirl!!

Topic: RE: Is there a WLS support group in Grand Island?
Mona,
I have had info, however I never hear anything about that group and I am hesitant to refer folks if it is not actively meeting. Let me know as again, there are many that inquire about support groups in GI. Thanks.

I don't know yet how long I will have to do a liquid diet.  I will find out soon.  I had low vitamin D too, and had to take those supplements.
