Hey Nebraska Friends,
I wanted to let everyone know that the 3rd Annual Patient Reunion is scheduled for Saturday September 19th, 2009 in Lincoln. It will be an all day event starting at 8:30a until 4:00pm. I am really excited about the fact that Katie J from NAWLS will be our keynote speaker and guest. In addition there will be many opportunities to see old friends, make new ones, and picking up a few tools for the WLS tool box. Many of you have attended in the past and I hope you will consider joining us again this year. If you would like to be on the mailing list, send me your address and you will recieve an invitation otherwise further information will be posted here and on the SaintElizabethonline.com website. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Spring!

I am also a Holloway bandster...I've met with both him and Dr. Forney and they are both really great surgeons and would highly recommend either of them. I have heard of issues that other people have had with other surgeons and you know, it made me glad that I chose to go through Dr. Holloway to have my band done. I've never once felt any doubts about going to him. I had actually wondered if, for whatever reason that I couldn't get approved by insurance to go through Dr. Holloway's office for the procedur, if I would have a better chance going through another surgeon....but I felt a bit uneasy about this idea because I really and truly wanted Holloway to be my surgeon. Not that there should be any reason to doubt the surgeons elsewhere, just that I felt confident going to Holloway.

i meet with her twice now and she and her staff are so nice yet they are to the point. i am glad you had a good outcome with your surgery with her. i am so excied i have family memebers telling me not to get the surgery.

I received a lapband on December 26, 2007, by Dr. McBride. Love her and her staff....they've done right by me for 1.5 years. Prayers for a safe surgery, and a successful journey.

Laura, I'm so glad you desided to go with Dr.H, you will have great sucess by going this route. Be sure to get into a support group, they are a much needed added feacher. One can never have enough support and friends. Beth in North Platte

Hi I'm Anna and just moved here from Colorado where I had my surgery in 2007. I live in Bellevue and I am looking for a support group. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yea Laura! Hope it doesn't take you too long to get your surgery. There are times I get discouraged with it...I have trouble eating meat...but I would do it all over again! Good luck. Keep us informed.
