Topic: RE: Midlands Choice insurance
Hey Mona! I was looking at this old post of yours, because I too have Midlands choice, when I called the company and asked the the criteria I need to meet they told me obesity treatment was completely excluded from the coverage I've been reading one here that you need to get letters and "jump through hoops" sometimes to get approved but I'm not sure if that works if the company excludes obesity treatments.

Hi Sally, you need to bring comfortable clothes to go home in. You will also need clear liquids to drink the day before surgery. That includes tea, broth, juice and jello. You will also need a bottle of mag citrate for your bowel prep. You can get it at any drug store or discount store. I look forward to meeting you. Mona

I left messages on Christy's voicemail DAILY for a month trying to find out if it went to insurance or not or what else i needed to do. I finally got mad that I was not getting a call back and called Lisa, told her I needed a nurse so she put me through to the nurses line. I explained to her what was going on that I had called daily with no call back. She put me straight through to Christy NOT her voicemail. She was waiting on something that my hospital and other docs had said they faxed but Anthone's office had not gotten. As for insurance approval....my insurance told me it would take at least 2 weeks to hear back and I got my approval in 2 days and my surgery is now July 3. Good luck!!!

I am looking for a psychologist/counselor in Lincoln to see after surgery for support. The couple I could find under the professionals tab did not have good reviews. Anyone have any suggestions of a good support professional-- I am having the surgery in KC and don't feel like driving back and forth to see that psychologist! lol

So, I have to chase down the insurance woman cuz no one is calling me back. Then when I need the appointment for- will be delayed by another two weeks due to the surgeons availability. Then I am told it will take a good 6-8 weeks before I have an approval answer from Aetna and another 3-4 weeks before they surgery would be done. AHHH!!H!H!H!
