Hi Jean, I am sorry you had such a bad experience. I hope you feel better soon. You aren't doing anything wrong. Blockages just happen. You also have to be assertive in what you need to feel better. It's ridiculous not to take pain meds when you need them. Blockages are very painful. We will always be here for you to help you get over the humps of wls. Keep in touch. Mona

Well congratulations on your surgery. And I hope you journey goes well. I have good results since my surgery. Just stay positive and remember you will have some bad days just like before our surgery. But you will have alot more good ones now. jimmy

Dont say anything at all. We have all heard that ..and maybe even said it to our kids. Jimmy gave me a little nudge the other day saying he hadn't seen me on the NE board. Well I have been so down, I have just kept quiet. No No you all havent done anything you are all great. I just didnt want to be a downer. One evening I was in terrible pain around my mid section, I ignored it and denyed it as long as I could untill I started to vomit horribly and continuously My BF took me to the hospital where they did a MRI and ex-Rays. It showed an intestional blockage but the doc wanted to wait 24 hours to see if it resolved itself.Yes right. He put me in ICU because in his words, "These things can turn ugly very fast" Well it didnt resolve its self and I have never experienced such unrelenting pain in my life. And this was 4 months almost to the day from the first blockage and surgery I had. What am I doing wrong? I had to be back to work in under 2 weeks.. The doc sent me home with out any pain meds ( the ass) . When I was in the hospital I wouldnt use the morphine drip because it gave me 3 day migrains. Then when I was able to take pills the docs encouraged me to not take too many because they could constipate me,, and the nurse would say "can you wait till bedtime, it will help you sleep". So I was always putting off taking pain meds, and suffering. So when I was ready to go home I was told, you didnt take much pain meds so you must not need any. They totally ignored me when I tried to explain. ( The nuring staff at Creighton was the best I ever had. The Doctors sucked!) I had to get back to work because of a mandatory training.Anyway I have been really down. And it has been a tuff time coming back. Jeanb
