Topic: RE: Preapproval from Medicare
Hi, sometimes you will get a letter from medicare first before the office does. If it has been awhile since you have heard anything, call medicare and find out. Good luck Mona

Hi, I am also looking forward to it. I hope it focuses on the positive aspects of weight loss surgery and the pain associated with dealing with obesity and the risks we took by having surgery. Mona

I have not had surgery yet. I am still waiting. However, I have the precribed diet instructions--10 day liquid before surgery-& 1 week liquid after surgery, then pureed , then soft till 4th month. At 5 months regular.

Let the words of my mouth and meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord my strength and my redeemer.
For all of you that have cable tv and get The Learning Channel, Starting on Monday of next week they will begin broadcasting a new show called Big Medicine. Hi Again,
Thanks to everyone *****plied to my post. Chris, I hope Dr. Sudan doesn't make me lose 70 lbs. before my surgery, or I'll never be able to have it done! lol Seriously though, I really appreciated everyones input. It's such a life changing experience and I just want to make sure I'm doing what's right for me. My consultation is on June 4th, so hopefully I'll know more of what to expect then. I have been reading any information I can get my hands on, and was up until 3:00 a.m. the other morning looking up more info. on the internet. Sometimes I think the more I know the more afraid I become. I know it's good to be informed, but I think I have become a little obsessive about the whole thing. If there's anyone out there from Nebraska that's had the duodenal switch can you let me know your experiences with it? Also, does anyone know what the pyshciatric evaluation is like? I told my husband they will probably skip my weight loss surgery and put my in the psych ward after they're done with my evaluation. lol It is kind of scary though. Talk to you all later!
Hope C.
Topic: RE: Liquid diet
Every surgeon is a little bit different. I had 2 weeks of full liquids, 2 weeks of mushies, then normal food. I have heard some surgeons add 2 weeks of CLEAR liquids prior to the broth.
Actually, the liquids only after the surgery were much easier to deal with than the liquid prior to the surgery ;)
