Topic: RE: What do you think?
I think he is an excellent surgeon. I couldn't be happier with him. He has great bedside manner and is very down to earth. His staff is great...very friendly and helpful. At one time things were disorganized, but that was because they were moving their office to another building. They are happily settled in now and things have been great.
Dr. Anthone has been doing WLS for over 20 years and has done thousands of surgeries. His specialty is the duodenal switch...and I can't speak highly enough of that surgery. I have been so pleased with my results.
I would highly recommend him. You won't be sorry.

What do you think of Dr. Anthone? I'm looking into a revision, and wondered what you all think of him? How is his bed side manner? What is his staff like? Are you happy with him as your surgeon? Give me the scoop!
Topic: RE: Dr Anthone's Parents Passed Away?
Oh no! that is so so sad to hear. :( I am so sorry for them (whether it's Dr. A or Mrs. A) Wow...there is never a good time to lose your parents...but both so close together right before the holidays? So very sad. :(

I may have posted wrong. I believe it may have been Dr Anthone's wife's parents who passed away.
Topic: Dr Anthone's Parents Passed Away?
I just heard Dr. Anthone's parents passed away. His father on the 5th and mother I believe on the 9th? Does anyone know what happened? How horrible to lose both parents!
Topic: RE: HOWDY!
Hi Hazel, I am glad you are posting. It is so hard to lose a parent. You just get through it the best way you can. The board is pretty quiet these days. I hope others will check in and let us know how they are doing. Mona

Greetings to all you Nebraskans. It has been a very long time since I have made it to OH. I can hardly believe that Christmas is only a couple of weeks away. I am not in the mood for it,but it will come whether I am ready for it or not. I can't remember if I posted that I lost my mother in October. I am finding that extremely hard to deal with, but am at the point of trying to decide where I want my life to take me from this point on. Just came on to say hello and let everyone know that I haven't forgotten you.
Topic: RE: Support Group in Grand Island
Thanks I'll be sure to call, although I probably won't be able to make it to a meeting till Jan. either since we are some what of Snow birds and usually head down to Mexico for a few weeks in Dec./Jan.
But I will check it out for Jan.
Unfortunately as it turns out, I may have a few more months of Pre opp. I found out since I've recently transferred to my husbands insurance I have a waiting period for "pre existing conditions" and I'm not sure If obesity will be considered under that, and they will make me wait till after April 1st to approve me. Ahhhh the Red Tape!!
But ANYWAYS, Thanks so much for all the info! You seem to know your stuff!
