Topic: PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THE ONE AND ONLY 2008 RUBY CRUISES CRUISE TO LOSE IS NOW OPEN!!

Let us hear from you!  Go to www.rubycruises.com, and in the upper right hand corner, you may pre-register (at no cost) for next year’s cruise!  It will be once again on Mariner of the Seas, sailing on a week long adventure to the Western Caribbean (Labadee, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel) from Port Canaveral, near Orlando .

To date, we have nearly 200 OH’ers registered for this cruise!  WOW!  You’ll see lots of familiar faces, and some new ones too!  We currently have bariatric surgeons, a plastic surgeon, a bariatric coordinator, a nutritionist, and a fitness instructor joining in for next year’s activities.  BUT…..this is also your cruise VACATION, and a chance to meet, mingle and CELEBRATE with your fellow WLS’ers!!

ALL are welcome – pre-op’s, post-op’s, of ALL TYPES of WLS, family members and friends, so fill out your pre-registration form today!

Watch the board for more information and updates coming SOON!!

Check out my profile for pictures of MARINER OF THE SEAS from a cruise I did with my family in 12/04, and from just two weeks ago when I did an inspection tour for this year's CRUISE TO LOSE!  Make sure you check out the pictures of the Royal Promenade, ROCK CLIMBING WALL(!!!!), 18-Hole Mini Golf Course, ICE SKATING RINK (again, !!!!!!) among other points of interest!  The Royal Promenade has café’s and bistro’s, and Promenade Cabins overlooking the “main street” – these areas are actually “Inside cabins” retrofitted with a picture window overlooking the promenade!  NO OTHER CRUISE LINE offers such a great, inexpensive alternative to what would otherwise be an “Inside”!!  Each day there are various activities here, including parades, parties (70’s and 80’s parties, Mardi Gras, etc.), and while at sea, the shops along the mall are open for business!

Go to www.rubycruises.com to PRE-REGISTER – upper right hand corner.  If you have any questions, you may PM me here, email me at [email protected], or call me TOLL FREE at 866-685-RUBY (7829).

Don’t miss the boat!  C’mon and join in the FUN!!!  Talk to you SOON, and see you ONBOARD!  Remember to watch here for UPDATES!   ~ Terri

Hi, there is redux, meridia and several others. If you can't tolerate these your pcp can write a letter stating drugs are not appropriate for you. Mona

Hi, WooHoo! Congratulations on your date! Have sugar free, non carbonated beverages to  drink. You will be on clear liquids for 48 hours then drippy liquids such as thin mashed potatoes, soups. Get a kitchen timer and a baby spoon. Hope this helps. Mona

Topic: Three years have date !!!

It has been a long rough road , but as of yesterday I have a date. Thanks to everyone at Western Surgercial Group that helped me . August 21 st.  that's the big day.  I can't believe after three years of denials and heart ache it's finally happening. So I say to all of you that are waiting there is hope. I have a very strong faith and many times it was tested . But  GOD doesn't make mistakes .  Does anyone have any ideas on what I need to stock up on ?  I want to be prepared when I come home. Bottled water, shakes , ETC ?  if shakes what kind do you recommend? Are weigh****cher shakes o.k. I have a bunch of those and they are good.

All prayers are welcome !!!!

Try Dr.Ed Mantler at Papillion Family Medicine. I know he was very open when I talked to him. He is very nice , he will propably have you try a diet but that's the first step.

I'm in Omaha, and can't find a PCP who accepts Medicare AND supports weight loss surgery. My current doctor has a "stop stuffing your face" attitude, and has refused to support me in any way. That is NOT the only problem I have had with her, and I'm ready for a new PCP, who has a little compassion and the ability to actually listen. If anyone in the area has a suggestion, I'd appreciate it. If you don't want to post it here, my email is in my profile. Thanks, Rayjean Consult 10/13/07

Laurie, Congratulations! I was scheduled for the same day, but had to postpone when I realized that I was supposed to be on vacation with the family that week   I'm now seeing Dr. Sudan in October. Mona, What prescription weight loss drugs are doctors suggesting now? I haven't heard about anything except the Xenical/Alli type. Is that it? Rayjean

Topic: RE: HELP!!!! Does anyone know how to finance a cosmetic procedure?

Thanks for replying to my post....when I was seeing my bariatric surgeon, I had emailed him the pics that I took of a rash that was under my belly but the insurance company wouldn't look at the pictures.  Plus, I spoke to my insurance company and medically necessary means life or death and so far I am still living.

Topic: I'M APPROVED!!
I finally got the nerve up this morning to call my surgeons and see if they have heard from insurance. They just got information yesterday  that I was approved on the 27th.  Yippee! I haven't got my date yet. They are supposed to schedule me and my grandmother together so I'm waiting to hear for sure what the date it. Should know within the next day or so. They told me they "thought" it may be Sept 11.
