Thanks. Creighton has one too. I was curious if people met from on OH. I have seen posts about "Tonight is the meeting in _____" and I wondered if Omaha had them. Anyway thanks for the info. I haven't gone to a Creighton one yet.

UNMC has one on some Monday's each month. It isn't specific to UNMC patients. I would call 559-5508 for more info.

Hi Darcy, it depends on your health history. It might be best to call them and ask what they need to qualify for surgery. You still have to meet the requirements of being at least 85-100 lbs. overweight, have health problems, and tried to lose weight on your own for a certain period of time. Maybe others who are on medicaid can share some information. Mona

Hi...I have just recently been looking into WLS and was wandering if anyone could give me any help on qualifying for the lap band surgery through medicaid. If so, what were the requirments? How long did it take? Anything and everything would be appreciated! Thanks,

Oh yeah I guess I should say that I did click on Support Groups above and went to the Omaha one. Whoever was the leader is no more so I was just curious if anyone did anything since then.
